And this Karlsson has been making music for a while. Until now he had released his material himself, and is now under the umbrella of a label. "The Venom Is Going Global" requires a little time for the listener to fully appreciate the mix of industrial, noise and old school EBM. The album is not geared directly at the dance floors, even if tracks like "Flycatcher" and "System Error" (especially the remix) lean in that direction. At the core of this work is a very anarchistic and punk-ish energy. There is no doubt that The Pain Machinery make very good music. Fans of harsh industrial should find what they looking for here.
