The Pain Machinery
The Venom is going global:
According to Bruckheimer's Law Of Cool, if something features helicopters,
guns and explosions, then it is inherently cool. Not that 'The Venom Go
Global' possesses these fine ingredients but it certainly sounds like it
should, and by that inference makes The Pain Machinery undeniably cool.
Emerging in recent times as a group based affair rather than the psychotic
rumblings of beat genius Anders Karlsson, vocalist Jonas Hedberg and
guitarist Jonas Berndt add weight to TPM's most concentrated aural assault
yet. As the band have developed, an emerging danceable element has arisen
from the ruins, yet fails to deny The Pain Machinery's noisier, nastier
roots. It certainly helps if you enjoy early Nitzer Ebb, but Tarmvred and
Converter addicts may have found themselves a new fix if the destruction
disco of 'System Error' and 'Fly Catcher' are anything to go by.
