The Pain Machinery
Terminate transmission:
Hailing from Stockholm, The Pain Machinery delivers an extremely heavy side of EBM. Don't expect to hear any form of traditional EBM here, but a mixture of body power and brain-damaging percussions with vague vocal parts. There's a non-stop industrial mood covering their work and that's really cool for a while, but maybe a bit too hard. This band doesn't loose control over their machines at any moment, but you can get the impression that it all sounds a bit improvised and composed to be as loud as possible! But you have to play it as loud as possible to really appreciate their work. Yes, I appreciate this release… even if it's not the first band that experiments with a mixture of industrial and EBM. I don't want to compare them to this other Scandinavian band from Denmark (cfr. Arzt + Pfusch) but for some reasons they remind me of them… but in a more efficient way!
